Volunteer
The dictionary’s definition of Volunteer is “A person who performs or offers to perform a service of his or her own free will, often without payment and a person who chooses freely to do or offer to do something.”
We are very fortunate to have many of just this type of person – the very backbone of our museum. Selfless people who do things such as maintenance on the museum itself, filing in the offices, learn to give tours, and help serve at one of the dinner meetings we cater here. We recognize just how much we need them and how hard it would be to run this facility and staff the many events without them.
For example: Did you know for Duryea Day this year we had over 60 volunteers doing everything from being a Keystone Kop to running the register here at the museum?
Interested in being one of these much needed very important people here? Just fill in the form below and mail it or fax it the museum. AND WELCOME to our team!
